Hell is real

Updated: Jan 10, 2021

“But cowards, those who refuse to believe, who do evil things, who kill, who sin sexually, who do evil magic, who worship idols, and who tell lies all these will have a place in the lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

- Revelation 21:8

The belief that "God is too nice" to send people to hell is truly just deception. Ultimately because we have a major role in whether we go to heaven or hell. We are sinners, and because of our sinful nature, God came in the form of man (Jesus Christ) to redeem us. On top of forgiving us for our sins, he provides us with new mercy every day! God does not hold grudges, he gives us chance after chance. Think of each day as an opportunity to become closer to God. The belief that God wouldn't send us to hell simply isn't true. He died on a cross so that we could have a chance to spend eternity with him. Why would he die on a cross to save us from hell, if going to hell wasn't a possibility? I'm here to tell you that hell is a possibility, but heaven is at hand (Matthew 3:2).

Those that choose to walk with God wholeheartedly and accept the free gift of salvation, go to heaven. Therefore if someone chooses to become a Christian and spends time with God on earth; then they will spend eternity with Him in heaven. The Bible tells us that we cannot serve two masters

(Matthew 6:24), therefore if someone chooses to associate with the world rather than God; then they will spend eternity with the devil in hell.

Who we spend time with while we are on earth, dictates who we spend eternity with. Hell is real, and hell is eternal. I'm not saying that it's easy to get a ticket to heaven. In fact, it does take more than just believing in Christ, we have to walk in his ways. We must forgive others, love our neighbors, and answer whatever he's calling us to do. However when we love God all of that isn't hard work, it's an expression of our love for him. The bible says if we love God then we will obey his commandments (John 14:15). We are not perfect, so we won't always get it right. But repentance will get us back on track. We must continuously cleanse our hearts and ask God to reveal what we must change about ourselves (1 John 1:9).

The teaching that hell isn't an option is a lie because the word of God tells us that it is (Matthew 25:46). The bible is always correct! God doesn't want his beloved in hell. God desires for us to be with him forever, He is always pursuing us (1 John 4:8). We don't deserve forgiveness, we don't deserve salvation, we don't deserve heaven. In Fact because of our sinful nature we deserve hell. But because of God's grace, we don't have to get what we deserve; we can get something better (Ephesians 2:8). Eternity with our Father. The word of God tells us that we have all sinned and fallen sort of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). However, God still wants to spend eternity with us. He has paved a way for us to enter heaven. I pray that we all follow his way; instead of our own, which will lead us to hell.

We are definitely living in the last days, and Christ could come for his church any second now (Matthew 24:36). We must be ready for him, and we must continue to evangelize and warn people.

No more deception! Hell isn't a joke.
